Thrive 360
CMS Design
I was the solo UX/UI designer at FarBridge working on the beta phase of Thrive360’s therapy and wellness streaming service. In addition to the frontend interface design for the app, I designed the backend CMS that would be used by the clients and their customers. I worked directly with the clients to define various user journeys and processes that would need to be supported by the system, and then created interactive wireframes for engineers to reference while building it out.

Complex Category Relations
The system needed to account for 5 different types of content, which were all interrelated:
Collections: “Playlists” of series and sessions curated by the platform owners
Features: Custom categorized lists of sessions or series displayed on the home page
Providers: Individuals or groups credited with the creation of series and sessions
Series: A list of sessions intended by the provider be watched in sequence
Sessions: Individual pieces of content created as standalone pieces or as part of sessions
The content types did not easily break down into hierarchies. Series, for example, served both as content that could be added to Collection and Features, but were also containers for Sessions themselves. At the same time, a Session could exist as part of a Series, as standalone content, or both depending on the context. There was not a single defined user journey for adding or updating content.
Solution: Support Modular Content Editing
Each content type exists individually, but can be accessed from connected content, while the portal tracks the user’s navigation history.
This approach allowed the flexibility to support the wide variety of user journeys we anticipated. Admins could establish their own workflows for updating content based on the needs of that specific set of content.
