Games I’ve Worked On
How to Train Your Dragon:
Riders of the Skies
I was the UX / UI designer for this collaboration with Nex Inc., Universal Pictures, and DreamWorks, which brought How to Train Your Dragon to the Nex Playground in the form of a flight game controlled entirely by the player’s motions!
I oversaw the main user flow that guides the player from the Playground’s main menu, into the motion calibration process, and through the gameplay experience. In addition to the overall UX, I worked with the creative director and engineers to design and implement an interactive dragon selection that takes full advantage of the platform’s motion controls.

Homeworld:
Vast Reaches
I served as a UX, UI, and XR designer for the latest release in the Homeworld franchise, which was designed for virtual reality headsets from the ground up in partnership with Gearbox Software.
For the majority of the project, I worked with our creative director, lead artist, and multiple engineers to concept, implement, and test UI and mechanics that took the tenants of RTS games and adapted them to a VR environment.

For about 6 weeks toward the end of the project, I also spearheaded efforts to improve the game’s tutorial experience based on feedback gathered in collaboration with Meta’s UXR team. I synthesized this playtest data, designed new features and lessons to address the observed pain points, and worked with a level designer and engineer to implement the updates.
